It was chilly, chilly, chilly, and did I mention chilly up on the mountains today!
Learning how to snowboard summed up: Heels, toes, heels, toes, hee……… Ouch! Ok now get back up, frantically brush yourself off, look around and make sure nobody saw that fatuous fall. Now start moving again, heels, heels, heels, heels. Come on, don’t be scared. Ok. Heels, toes, heels, to…. Ouch!

It was taken on my point and shoot panasonic better-pictures-under-water-than-out-of-water DMC-TS1. It was converted to B/W in picasa. As much as I would love to, I wouldn’t dare take the Nikon on the lifts! Besides, it wouldn’t fit in my jacket pocket too well.
Snowboarding is perhaps my favorite sport, right up there with biking. This makes it easy to justify an occasional mid week trip up to the snow for a little romp on the mountain. Dehydration on the mountain can be a real problem, which prompted the drink on the left. Entertainment on the mountain is certainly not lacking, but can always be bolstered by the drink on the right. Put the two together, and they compliment a perfect day on the slopes! Rock on.
Snow is good. Crisp cool air. Smile on my face. Just thought I would share.
